Your opportunity to contribute to a research study on farming, conservation and recreation in Norfolk
Members and supporters of CPRE Norfolk are being invited complete a short online survey aiming to explore people’s views around farming, conservation and recreation in Norfolk’s countryside.
The study is being run by Luis Sanchez Soto, a PhD student from the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds. He is leading a research project on the social and cultural implications of landscape-scale conservation, with a focus on Norfolk’s rural landscapes.
Last year, Luis interviewed stakeholders of Norfolk’s countryside to understand the breadth and diversity of views and priorities for farming landscapes.
You can read more about that study here.
Based on findings from that first study, Luis has now launched an online survey that aims to assess the preferences of people for alternative landscapes that could exist in areas of Norfolk and identify their views for practices and land uses related to farming, conservation, and recreation.
Luis is inviting participants that live, work, or are interested in Norfolk’s inland landscapes (including visitors) to complete the survey and contribute to this study with their views.
The survey takes about 15-20 minutes can be complete in any device with an internet browser (including a smartphone), but it is easier to navigate on a tablet-sized screen or bigger.
More details of the study are in the Research Study Information Sheet.
Please note that the survey will not ask for personal information, and anonymity will be strictly maintained. The research has been reviewed and approved by the University of Leeds ethical review committee.
